Description

These tube-shaped brass crimp beads are the clean way to finish beading wire securely. Thread the wire through the tube, loop it around the clasp, pass it back through and squeeze the tube shut. The result is a strong, discreet finish. Thanks to the cylindrical shape, the wire is gripped along the whole length of the tube for an especially firm hold. The gold tone goes well with gold-coloured clasps, bead caps and spacer beads.

We send our items with Swiss Post.

We deliver exclusively to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Orders with delivery addresses outside these countries cannot unfortunately be processed. Please make sure that the delivery address provided is in Switzerland or Liechtenstein.

Shipping costs

The shipping costs vary depending on the item purchased and are clearly displayed at checkout before purchase.

For Switzerland and Liechtenstein, shipping is free from an order value of CHF 15.00.

Exception: Some of our items are too large or too heavy for shipping by letter post – these must be sent as parcels.
For orders under CHF 15.00 we charge a flat shipping fee of CHF 3.00.

For exceptional items that must be sent as a parcel, the standard parcel rate applies.

Good to know: From a total order value of CHF 150.00, we also cover the shipping costs for these parcel items – delivery is then free of charge.

With the letter post shipping method, tracking is not possible. PerlineBeads accepts no liability for undelivered orders.

We also offer the following additional shipping options:

  • Registered mail: CHF 5.80
  • Swiss-Express "Mond" (delivery on the next working day between 07:00 - 09:00): CHF 17.00
Right of withdrawal and exchange

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. It is possible to withdraw from the contract with PerlineBeads within 5 days of receiving the goods. The customer may exercise the right of withdrawal within the aforementioned period by expressing it through a request sent by letter or email to the PerlineBeads address.

Defective items / items sent incorrectly

We will exchange them without additional costs. Should an item no longer be available at the time of the complaint, we will issue a voucher for the purchase price. Please note that products in the "Earrings" category are excluded from exchange for hygienic reasons.

Errors / item not to your liking

Compensation is provided in the form of a voucher for the purchase price of the goods. Exchange for another item is not possible. Products complained about for this reason must be returned in perfect condition and in the original packaging.

The shipping costs calculated at the time of placing the order will not be refunded.

The return of an item applies only to that item. Further new products cannot be added to this contribution and require a new order via our website.

Withdrawal in the event of late delivery

Due to seasonal events / holidays, delivery delays may occur over which PerlineBeads has no influence. We therefore ask for more time for deliveries. Should an order not have arrived after 20 working days from the shipping date, we will initiate a loss procedure with Swiss Post upon written request from the customer. In this case, we accept full responsibility for the loss of the order and will resend the order if desired. The withdrawal from the purchase contract between the customer and PerlineBeads can only take place after these 20 working days have elapsed!

Jewellery care tips

Protect from water

Do not immerse jewellery in water or other liquids, and do not wear it while showering, bathing or swimming, to avoid discolouration or damage.

 

Keep away from cosmetics

Only put on your jewellery after applying body creams, make-up and perfume.

 

Before going to bed

For a healthy sleep and to protect your jewellery, take it off before going to bed and store it in a safe place.

 

Storing jewellery

Store your jewellery in a closed box or pouch to avoid scratches and discolouration caused by oxidation and moisture.

  

Cleaning with a soft cloth

To restore the shine of your jewellery, use a soft cotton cloth and gently polish the piece.

Crimp beads and crimp covers: what’s the difference?

Crimp beads are small metal beads that attach clasps, jump rings and end pieces to beading wire or thread. Thread the crimp bead on and pass the wire end back through the clasp. Then squeeze the bead with pliers, and it holds the wire securely in place.

Crimp covers are beads with a side opening. Place one over the squeezed crimp bead and gently close it with pliers. It hides the crimp bead and looks like a round metal bead, which gives your piece a particularly clean, professional finish.

💡 Tip: Choose crimp covers in the same colour as your crimp beads and clasps for a consistent look.

Questions about the product

What are crimp beads used for?

Crimp beads secure the end of beading wire, for example at the clasp of a necklace or bracelet. Thread the wire through the crimp bead and the clasp, back through the crimp bead, then squeeze it shut with pliers.

What is the difference between round and tube crimp beads?

Tubes have a larger contact area with the wire, so they hold especially reliably. With crimping pliers they can also be folded neatly into a slim, tidy finish. Round crimp beads look a little more discreet and work well when they remain visible.

Which pliers do I need?

You’ll get the best result with crimping pliers that match the size of the crimp bead: first make an indent in the tube, then fold it over. For a simple flat finish, flat nose pliers will also do.

Which wire fits my crimp bead?

Because the wire passes through the crimp bead twice, the doubled wire thickness should be just under the hole size. That way the wire fills the tube well and is clamped firmly when crimped. You’ll find the hole size in the technical details.

Can I use crimp beads with thread or elastic cord?

Crimp beads are designed for beading wire. Soft threads or elastic cord can be damaged when crimped or slip out. Knots, bead tips or end caps are the better choice here.

Why does the quantity say “approx.”?

Small parts like crimp beads are counted or packed by weight, so the number of pieces may vary slightly. We make sure you receive at least the stated quantity.

Are the crimp beads nickel-free?

Our crimp beads have been tested for nickel release in an independent laboratory and meet the requirements of the EU chemicals regulation REACH for products in prolonged contact with skin. No nickel release was detected. If you are very sensitive to nickel, we still recommend testing the piece briefly first.

Questions about delivery and returns

How quickly will my order be delivered?

We ship exclusively to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Here you'll find all the important information about our shipping terms:

  • Fast Shipping: Orders that are received by 2:00 p.m. on business days and have been paid for will be shipped the same day.
  • Standard Shipping: We ship most orders via A-Mail, which usually arrives in your mailbox within 1–2 business days. Please note that tracking is not available for standard mail.
  • Registered Mail & Insurance: If you would like proof of delivery (tracking), select the “Registered Mail” option (CHF 5.80) at checkout. These shipments are insured by Swiss Post up to CHF 500.00.
  • Larger Shipments: For orders containing items that must be shipped as packages due to their size or weight, we generally ship via B-Mail if the order total is less than CHF 110.00. Delivery takes approximately 3–4 days.

Additional Delivery Options: You can also choose from the following options:

  • Swiss Express “Mond”: Delivery on the next business day between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
  • Saturday Delivery: Delivery on Saturday.

Both options come with an additional charge, which will be displayed at checkout.

What is the minimum order amount for free shipping?

📦 Some items = shipping by package
Some products are simply too large or require special packaging. That's why we ship them as packages at the standard package rate.
Good to Know: For orders totaling CHF 150.00 or more, we'll cover the shipping costs for these packaged items as well—delivery is then free of charge.

Can I return items?

Yes, you can return the merchandise within 5 days of receipt, provided it is in its original packaging, undamaged, and unworn. However, please notify me of the return in advance via email (info@perlinebeads.ch).
