What age are the bead sets suitable for?

Our bead sets are ideal for children from around 6 years old. At this age, fine motor skills are usually well enough developed to thread the seed beads and letter beads onto the elastic thread independently.

  • Important safety note: As the boxes contain small parts that can be swallowed, they are not suitable for children under 3 years old.
  • Our tip for mixed age groups: If younger siblings (around 4-5 years old) would like to join in, this often works wonderfully if an adult or an older child helps a little with holding the thread. For school-age children, however, it is the perfect independent activity!

How many bracelets can you thread from one box?

From a single bead box you can easily create 30 to 40 children's bracelets!

As each of our boxes contains over 3,000 irregular glass seed beads and letter beads, you have more than enough material for a typical birthday party.

  • For a normal party (approx. 6 to 8 children): Each child can easily thread 3, 4 or even more bracelets. There is no arguing over beads as there are plenty of each colour.
  • The great side effect: Usually there is even some material left over after the party, so the birthday child can continue crafting straight away in the following days!

What do I need to bear in mind with the elastic thread?

Pre-stretch the thread: Before cutting it, stretch the elastic thread well several times – this way it won't stretch out later.

What do I need to bear in mind when tying the knot?

Make the knot 2–3 times and pull it tight. In the complete bundle you can also secure it with a small drop of G-S Hypo Cement – this will make your bracelet particularly reliable.

Do I need additional tools?

No – you can start straight away.
